The short answer
The Qur’an names twenty-five prophets, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Job, Jonah, Zechariah, John, Jesus, and Muhammad. It also states that God sent a messenger to every community and that some prophets are not mentioned.
A little more context
A widely cited report puts the number of prophets at 124,000; Muslims treat the figure as indicating a vast number rather than a precise count. Muslims honour all the prophets, make no distinction between them in belief, and regard Muhammad as the last.
