The short answer
Yes. The Qur’an tells the story twice, in chapters 3 and 19. Mary asks how she can have a son when no man has touched her, and is told that for God this is easy: He creates what He wills by saying “Be”, and it is (Qur’an 3:47; 19:20–21). Mary is described as having guarded her chastity, and God breathed into her of His spirit (Qur’an 21:91; 66:12).
A little more context
Muslims do not conclude from the virgin birth that Jesus is God’s son. The Qur’an compares him with Adam, who was created with neither father nor mother (Qur’an 3:59). For Muslims the miracle shows God’s power and Mary’s honour, and nothing needs to be added to it. Our guide to Jesus in the Qur’an quotes the passages in full.
